Lobster crackers!

(like undercrackers, only slightly fishier...)

sorry, went out to dinner last night, and with a certain amount of trepidation ordered the 'seafood superbowl', containing an unspecified selection of local seafood. I was rather concerned this might be a beached seal and half a herring gull, but in the event it was a very entertaining bowl of dead things to dismember and alarm my dining companions with. Possibly the best part being when the waitress arrived bearing a tray containing implements of torture for me. Seriously. Big fuck-off nut-cracker things for the crab claws, and a fiendish looking thin sharp pointy implement. I haven't had so much fun with my food in years. Although, top tip, if you're liable to be splashing white wine sauce around by cracking bits of sealife in your fingers, don't wear a dark blue shirt, as it will look a bit suspect afterwards...
