Before Christmas

1. Does your family send out Christmas cards? Yeah, I normally send out about 40
2. How soon do you start shopping? I wait till December, unless I see something particular that I might not see again
3. Who do you shop for? Family, close friends

Decorations

4. Do you put up a Christmas tree? Yep
5. If so, is it fake or real? Real - you can't beat the smell
6. Do you like tinsel? Yes. Itchy if worn around the neck though...
7. Do you use homemade or store bought ornaments? Store bought, although I will do a couple of foliage arrangements with holly and ivy and red candles and stuff
8. Do you put Christmas lights outside your house? No. It's the one thing I especially despise about Christmas. Especially ones that flash, as they give me migraine.
9. Do you put lights on the tree? Yes, ones that don't flash *g*
10. How about popcorn and cranberries? On the tree? Eh?
11. Is there a wreath hanging on your door? No.

Christmas Eve

12. Do you celebrate it? I usually do a mince pie tea for my family on Christmas Eve. I like to avoid working it if I can.
13. Do you hang up your stocking? I don't hang it up, but I have one.
14. Does your family read "Twas the night before Christmas"? Good lord no.

15. Christmas Movie: Labyrinth. STFU, it's normally on telly then. Ooh, or Wizard of Oz.

18. Christmas Memory: We used to go to my gran's for xmas when I was little and I remember the Christmases there very fondly. It was quite a big house (possibly I was just very small) and I used to be sent to fetch the drinks (at age like 8 LOL). I'd run the length of the hallway because it was long and scary and I was convinced there would be monsters.

27. What do you want for Christmas this year? Clarkson's book, last year's Clarkson book, Clarkson's dvd, er, pattern, what pattern?
28. When do you open your gifts? Stocking in bed, then most presents when we get to mum's in the morning, then a few more that are saved for teatime
29. What's the best gift you've ever gotten? Ooh, I dunno. My mum's good at finding me things I really like though.
30. What's the worst gift you've ever gotten? My husband is quite bad at having any idea what I'd actually like. Now he gets a list, LOL
31. Who gives you the most gifts? My mum and husband
32. Have you ever had a secret Santa? No
33. Do you like wrapping gifts? Quite like it, yeah

43. Have you ever sat on Santa's lap? No. I only ever went to a store santa once, and we all agreed it was crap and expensive and never did it again LOL
44. Who do you celebrate Christmas with? Family.
45. Where do you celebrate Christmas? Home with Family.
46. Have you ever had a white Christmas? Down here? We rarely get a white anything.
47. What part of Christmas do you look most foward to? I like choosing cards, and baking the cake, and my mum's christmas dinner. And the presents, obviously LOL
48. Have you ever had your picture taken with Santa? No
49. Does your family always take a picture at Christmas? We take snaps, not a formal pose. We always take a picture of the pudding with flaming brandy, and it never, ever comes out LOL
50. Have you ever heard the song "Thank God For Kids" by The Oakridge Boys? No, and I'm quite glad about it...
