Had Friday afternoon off work to have lunch with a friend (Mannings, for the possibly two people who will know it). Turns out the best way to kill off the remnants of a migraine *is* with Chilean Chardonnay...anyway, I had skate, which was very nice (but woefully overcooked) with samphire, which was drenched in a really strong dressing. So I rinsed it off in my water glass LOL (mmmn that looked attractive). Went to the pub afterwards (beer as dessert course FTW) and played cards for the rest of the afternoon.

Today I have done gardening, and sat in the unexpected!sun, and gone for a walk in the woods, where I met a very enthusiastic spaniel. Oh, and acquired another damn migraine. WTF? No fair. *sulks*

BGT update: basically, I have no idea who I want to win as long as it's not the Cheeky Monkeys. I change my mind every time I answer the question. I have to say I was gutted for Per Diem last night though, they were one of my favourites from the auditions.

Anyway, for what it's worth, my favourites are currently standing as Signature and Escala, with Kate & Gin and Faryl coming close after.

Escala are probably the most actually talented, polished act, but I really want it to be Kate and Gin because, srsly, there are lots of ways for singers and dancers to hit the bigtime, but there are only ever so many forums for an jaw-droppingly amazing dancing dog *g*

also, I would like Dec to leap off the stage and ravish Simon over the judges desk, but this is possibly less likely
