So we waited a week for the Home Delivery Network to deliver our broadband kit, before whining to BT, and once they provided the number for HDN (who refuse to part with it on their website), to them directly, and then to one of their depots, as their tracking system appeared to show it as languishing in Newton Abbott.
It eventually transpired that they *had* delivered it. Only to a building somewhere on the other side of the industrial estate, and to a company with a completely different name. Who had signed for it despite not knowing what it was, and it having the name of a person that didn't work there on the label.
So anyway, we finally got our paws on it and installed it and everything was marvellous.
Yesterday, we came home to find a 'sorry we missed you' parcel tag on the doormat. From the Home Delivery Network. Erm. We're not expecting anything else.
Now the problem here is, we're both at work all day. Which is why the original parcel was directed to the Husband's unit. So we wouldn't be here when they tried to deliver it again today. Obviously not a company that has worked out how to save its delivery people time, they don't provide a parcel number on the tag *until* they've failed to deliver it for the second time.
So we now have two tags and a parcel number (which had taken the delivery person two attempts to write), so I guess tomorrow we will find out what it is. Only, it says they're not able to redirect parcels. Which means one of us will have to take a day off work, to wait in for a parcel that we're not expecting, and I can't help wondering if it's a second home hub system, if we're on record somewhere as saying we haven't received it?
*shrugs*
