Walking to work in monsoon-like levels of rain is quite fun - right up to the point where you have to then sit at your desk with sopping wet shoes and socks, and clammy trousers. Ugh.
I got caught in monsoon levels of rain on Saturday, during which I discovered that the soles of both my trainers were split right across. I think 'squelchy' would be the correct descriptive term...
I had the dubious pleasure of having two pairs of shoes fall apart on me this week. One, the aforementioned trainers, which, in all probability have been cracked for a while, and a pair of black slip-on trainery things that were fine when I left the house, but by the time I'd got to where I was going had mysteriously disintegrated from under me. I have no idea what happened!
I need to buy some more, but I hate shoe shopping with a passion; for now my desert boots will just have to go with everything.
I once had a sandal fall completely in half while I was out - one half was attached to my ankle by the strap and the front bit over my toes was completely separate from it!
