I finally got my internet back, yay!

It's been a tiresome two weeks. Not only have I had no internet (or phone) since October 25th, I had to suffer the dreaded Rail Replacement Bus service to and from work all last week. Making an 18 minute journey into an hour long. Although it was livened up at one stop on Thursday morning when the driver had a scuffle with a passenger and shoved him off the bus (while the rest of us all tutted because it was making us even later).

Then on Saturday morning I looked out the window and discovered at some point during the week, the kind postman had delivered an Amazon package, and left it tucked behind a rock against the wall of the house. So that was nicely damp, with all the rain we've been having. Never saw it, because I've been leaving and getting home in the dark, but it must have been there a couple of days. Bastards.

Had a nice surprise tonight though - got in to find a letter from the solicitors, and thought "eek!" - but it was a cheque for £10, which after about six or seven months since dealing with me, they suddenly decided was overpaid on my account. Woo!

So - what's the gossip? I don't think I'm ever going to catch up with two weeks of my flist, so tell me what's been happening around here!

I did find it pretty odd that there was no 'filthy porn with some deranged boygroup' stuff on my flist and no perving of weird blokes and women...;)


My news? A burglar kicked in my frontdoor when I was home two weeks ago. A week ago, I ran over a cat with my bike but in my defense, the cat had a death wish with the way it came out of the bushes! So... I wonder what this Saturday will bring me...

I was at home, wrapped in a towel, so not really up for opneing the door when someone rang the doorbell. I did hear that the person fiffled with the door handle but sometimes the kids' friends has issues with left and right. I then went to tell the little shits to fuck off, when someone kicked in my frontdoor so panels and part of the door lock came flying. I think the burgler was very surprised to see a redhaired fury roaring at him to get the fuck out NOW! So he ran, I call the police, waited for them to arrive, then called three different people about my door as it was ruined, called work to say I couldn't come and yeah, it was not exactly fun. So it's been a bit meh leaving home after that and I worry a lot. If I hadn't been home, FUska could have escaped outside and that's the worst thing about it. I don't care about my things really but if she had gotten outside:(

I wouldn't mind just a bit of good luck or something after these two weeks:/

*glomps* Did think you were a bit quiet! Sounds like an incredibly annoying two weeks - I hate buses, but Rail Replacement Buses somehow always make normal buses look pleasant and fast by comparison... Bonus £10 the least you deserve - definitely spend that on a treat! *g* *hugs*

I'm not too bad - there's a lot of tennis to distract me at the moment, and I yell helpful instructions at them through the TV *g* I have lots of boring physio but it's OK. I got some tax back - rock and roll!
