Fail to locate your umbrella, having tidied up too thoroughly at weekend,
Exit house to discover it's already raining and realise you're going to get wet,
Say "piss flaps" not all that quietly,
Look up to discover startled person walking past on pavement staring at you...

We used to play a sort of game where you found outlandish, swearing-without-using-rude-words things to say and then proceeded to exclaim them quasi-naturally in shops. My friend Fliss once mananged to say 'odds boddikins, I've forgotten my purse' in a shop, without cracking up, and got a LOT of odd looks.

'piss flaps' is totally brilliant, though! :D

I had a mahoosive row with my friend Si once about whether 'pissflaps' was permissible in Scrabble. Oddly, it wasn't in OSW, but we did conclude that it would be a brilliant nine to get in 'Countdown'...
